A new column to host the "Word of Mouth" of Don Nino Carta, a priest for several years in Brazil, now director of the CMD in Ozieri, Sardinia.

Everything, absolutely everything.
For this reason we must do our part to ensure that he is always victorious.
But for this we must take care of it, we must nourish it and put it at the center of our every thought and every action.

What a great program: nourish love, so that he may always be victorious.

We must therefore be careful about what we nourish ourselves with, because nourishment is not only a biological and material fact, but also one of brotherhood and inner well-being.

Remember the words of Jesus: “He who eats me will live by me?”
Think of how bread becomes holy when in the hands of the priest it is transformed into the Holy One who gives life to every being.

To nourish oneself with Jesus-bread is to nourish oneself with love, so that it may always be victorious in every experience of life.

We can then ask ourselves: “Do we really feed on love?
Do we nourish our lives, our thoughts, and our hearts with generosity, generosity, tenderness, and beauty?

Or do we eat poison, feeding on selfishness, resentment, intolerance, superficiality and sadness?
Do we eagerly nourish ourselves with the Word of God that transforms our days and gives us the joy of being able to show everyone a little of the beauty of our effort to make Love triumph within us?”

Yes, because beauty is one of the rays of love, which makes our soul and our life shine.
As St. Francis said: “You are beauty, You are beauty.”
And St. Augustine: “Late have I loved you, infinite beauty.”

The beauty of love, which is not an idea, but a experience to be perceived and in which to immerse yourself.
This is why many today repeat the phrase: “Beauty will save the world,” meaning love will win.

Meanwhile, when love wins in us, we feel like "fragments of God," so that our living, our speaking, and our communicating convey harmony, serenity, and the joy of living.

A while ago, I spent some time pruning the roses and flowers in the front yard and garden. I felt like I was wishing each plant a good rest during the approaching winter, with a farewell in February and March when life and spring will explode within them once again.
Pruning, even if it means cutting and therefore causing suffering, is a hymn to life and love, is believing that love will win.

This made me feel emotional and it was the excuse to turn every cut into a little prayer.
On our journey, pruning will never be lacking: may it always be an opportunity for love to triumph.
