THE DAY OF THE CUMBITU
An ancient translation
tells of a vow made
in honor of Saint Joseph
from people
who have appealed
to Him, due to illness,
or problems
of various kinds.
There are many people
who resort to intercession
of the powerful Saint
to ask for graces,
a legend tells
that to dissolve the vote
you have to prepare
a hot meal
and then give it to the poor.
In the land of Calabria
an ancient tradition
it is handed down
from generation to generation
in generation,
considered custom
almost sacred by the devotees,
the preparation
two peaks
to then offer it
to the whole country
or to the so-called wrinkle to which it belongs.

along the roads

starts
towards the neighbor's house
