The women of the association for the promotion of gender and development "Asproged" are committed to promoting and disseminating works of mercy.
After numerous forums promoted by the movement spazio + spadoni In several dioceses of the Central African Republic, the movement opens its doors to non-ecclesiastical charitable associations that work for the promotion and diffusion of works of mercy in their communities. This is the case of the association for the promotion of gender and development "Asproged."
"Asproged" is an association of women and girls from the municipality of Begoua who believe that by combining their strengths, skills, and expertise, they can help other women and girls in need in various areas, encouraging them to get involved. The association's members come from different religious denominations. These women believe that religious affiliation should not be a barrier, but rather a strength for the development of their community.
The women of the northern area of the city of Bangui (sub-prefecture of Bangui-Kaga, in the municipality of Begoua) have gathered in association with the aim of improve living conditions of the populations living in the area. The association's intervention areas are located on the outskirts of Bangui, areas where people live in precarious conditions.
To this end, the women of the association have set themselves the following objectives:
- training and awareness-raising among women and girls on income-generating activities for women;
- literacy;
- agribusiness and livestock farming.
The association has placed particular attention on these objectives because they are fundamental for thewomen's autonomy.
The objectives they have set themselves are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. Through this initiative, they are calling on other women and girls to join them, inspired by the thought: "No woman in our community should feel abandoned..."
Radio Maria Central Africa, an echo of mercy
For almost a year, the movement spazio + spadoni has started some trans bandsmissionand dedicated to the "Re-Evolution of the works of mercy" on the waves of Radio Maria Centrafrique. This broadcastmissionand, conceived and animated by members of the movement, is considered a permanent forum, because it adopts the same principles used in temporary forums to keep alive the exchange and practice of Sacred Scripture. For the local community, the program represents a means to rekindle the daily spread of works of mercy.
This is how the president of the association “Asproged”, following the transmissionthe movement spazio + spadoni, expressed a desire to meet its members. For this reason, one of them was invited to share with all the members the charisma and methods used in the country.
This experience makes us understand that everything contributes to the spread of the faith. The corporal and spiritual works of mercy know no bounds.
