The sisters carefully considered which activity would be the most profitable and practical. Initially, they considered building a small bakery, but ultimately decided to renovate an old existing chicken coop in Amlamé so that Sister Rolande could closely oversee its development. The project is awaiting definition and planning by the Congregation.
When the Institute of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Trinity joined the HIC SUM project, it selected Sister Rolande for the training. She had already been living in Italy for several years in the Garbagnate community. Rolande completed a first-aid course and visited San Cerbone several times to take part in various HIC SUM-specific training sessions and the “Fare Spazio” conventions. In 2022, she attended the course on the Works of Mercy and the Economy of Communion in Loppiano. In January 2023, she returned to Togo, specifically to Amlamé, where she will establish the small social enterprise and promote the Works of Mercy.
