The Seniors of OPERA M: Strategic Heart and Guide in Missione
Seniors are the central support of OPERA M.
They are constantly in contact with each other, they participate in initiatives of spazio + spadoni and contribute to the specific training of the other levels of the OPERA structure M.
They have the obligation to train in the “missionariety” and to Works of Mercy. They collaborate with founder defining the contents and methods to be used for the dissemination of the OPERA message M.

Carlo Andorlini

Carlo Andorlini
Date and Place of Birth: 1967 Florence
Carlo Andorlini was born in Florence in 1967. He develops socio-cultural innovation processes in local communities through the use of approaches, tools, and methods rooted in community work, which leverage untapped or underutilized "relational potential" between organized systems, citizens, and institutions. He is currently a visiting professor at the University of Florence in the "Design and Management of Social Interventions" degree program at the Cesare Alfieri School. He is a member of Legambiente's National Office for Civil Economy and the National Technical-Scientific Committee. He is a member of the National Council of the Third Sector representing local authorities, including the Tuscany Region. He is the scientific director of several territorial welfare development processes (particularly cultural, proximity, and community welfare in various national contexts). He collaborates with third sector organizations, public bodies, and foundations (in Tuscany, Liguria, Trentino-Alto Adige, Lazio, Umbria, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, and Marche). He is on the national promotion committee of the "Biennale della Prossimità" and a member of the Biennale's Research Area. In the publishing field, he is co-director of the "Newfabric" series published by Pacini Editore in Pisa; he is on the editorial staff of "Rivista impresa sociale" and "Animazione Sociale".

Umberto Banchi
Senior, Resident of spazio + spadoni, Ambassador, Speaker
Umberto Banchi
Date and Place of Birth: 02/05/1957 Borgo San Lorenzo (FI)
He was a physical education teacher at the IIS Chini in Borgo San Lorenzo, recently retired. He is a teacher trainer for the USP in Florence.
Specialist handball coach, UEFA – FIGC football instructor, CONI Tuscany Technical Coordinator, Trainer for the Tuscany Sports School 2008 – 2012.
In the past Member of the Diocesan CP of Florence, catechist, animator of the Parish summer camps, confrere Misericordia of Borgo San Lorenzo of which he was Superintendent from 2011 to 2020.
He was the representative of the Misericordie Fiorentine in the Diocesan Council of Florence.
Together with his wife Donatella he was in missione in Ivory Coast, in Bonua, in May and November 2016.
He started the journey next to spazio + spadoni becoming an Ambassador of the project HIC SUM. Today, Umberto is part of the Seniors, that is, those who define the contents and methods to be used for the diffusion of the OPERA message. M.
Every week he reads the commentary on the Sunday Gospel by the biblical scholar Carlo Miglietta to enrich the column “Good Mercy to all!” visible in the online magazine “Mission” and on the YouTube page of spazio + spadoni.

Claudio Corbatti

Claudio Corbatti
Date and Place of Birth: 15/12/1947 Firenzuola (FI)
Claudio worked from 1969 to 2004 at the Western Romagna Land Reclamation Consortium, which succeeded the Alto Santerno Basin Land Reclamation Consortium through abolition in 1991.
From 1975 to 1995 he was an uninterrupted City Councilor of Firenzuola, holding the role of Assessor, and from 2004 to 2009 the role of Mayor.
He still participates in the Mugello Alpine Choir today, of which he is also a Councilor.
From 1996 to 2000 he was a Councilor for the National Confederation of Misericordie d'Italia. For many years he was part of the Misericordia Magistrate of Firenzuola until he held the role of Governor from 2015 to 2023. It was in 2021 that the relationship with spazio + spadoni, at the time when the Misericordia of Firenzuola offered to welcome Sister Maria from Nigeria and to train her within the project HIC SUM becoming an Ambassador.
Today, Claudio is part of the Seniors, that is, those who define the contents and methods to be used to spread the OPERA message. M.

Sergio Mura
Senior, Resident of spazio + spadoni, Ambassador, Speaker
Sergio Mura
Date and Place of Birth: 30/09/1961 Lucca
Born in Lucca in 1961 where he lives and works. Always active in the world of volunteering, he currently holds the position of Director of the Arciconfraternita di Misericordia di Lucca and member of the Board of Directors of the Centro Nazionale del Volontariato, after having held various positions in different realities and having been President of the Centro Servizi per il volontariato for two terms. Alongside his passion for the history of Lucca and medieval and religious history, he also has a passion for photography and collecting. He has organized several exhibitions related to sacred iconography of which he is a collector.
