The initial idea was to open a small bakery in the community, but various difficulties were encountered regarding bureaucracy and the transportation of materials. We are therefore waiting to determine which project is best suited to promoting the enterprise’s self-sufficiency. In the meantime, we continue to follow and support Sister Andrea, especially in her work caring for the most vulnerable and spreading the Works of Mercy.
Sister Andrea is a sister of the Congregazione Figlie di San Francesco di Sales. When she had the opportunity to spend a few weeks at the Convento di San Cerbone, she took advantage of it to receive training and then launch the HIC SUM project upon her return to the Philippines. After arriving in Italy on 3 July 2022, she initially trained at the spazio + spadoni headquarters and, from 22 July 2022, began serving at Misericordia di Marlia. She returned to the Philippines on 29 September 2022.
