ECSTASY of Saint Gemma
Saint Gemma’s ecstasies represent moments when her soul was lifted toward the divine, allowing her to enter into profound contact with Christ’s passion and the sufferings of his cross. These mystical experiences were so intense that they often led Gemma into a state of complete physical abandonment, while her soul united with Christ in the most painful moments of her earthly life. Through her testimony of faith and her intimate connection with Christ, Saint Gemma inspires us to pursue a life of prayer and to draw closer to God with all our hearts.
