The social enterprise that Sister Christine and her Congregation, with the contribution of spazio + spadoni, have developed in Mbarara, is the activation of a small bakery that is growing over the years. Despite the numerous bureaucratic procedures to be completed to build the work and therefore the length of time, Sister Christine began producing and selling small quantities of bread starting from 2024. At the same time, she carries out the project of spreading the Works of Mercy together with a large group of volunteers, especially in the refugee camps, where she also carries out bakery training.

Sister Christine is a sister of the “Sisters of Our Lady of Good Counsel” Congregation. The training experience at Misericordia di Canosa di Puglia begins in January 2022. Inclusion in the Association is facilitated by her command of the Italian language. Sister Christine in fact studied theology and canon law for several years in Rome.

From the beginning of the experience, she had the clear idea of ​​developing a small bakery upon her return to Uganda, therefore her training at Misericordia focused mainly on this. He completed the health course, followed a cooking and baking course at a hospitality institute and assisted the parish priest in catechesis. In June 2023 she returned to Uganda in Mbarara.
