In Butare, Sister Agnes, thanks to the support of spazio + spadoni, has developed the social enterprise which translates into a small bakery in which she produces bread and confectionery products to sell to the population. Part of the proceeds is used to support the religious community, and part is donated to the poor. The activity has thus also become an active response to the great poverty of this region. Given the success of the activity, a second mini project in the field of sewing and embroidery was activated. Sister Agnes attended a course lasting several months and now also produces sacred vestments.

Sister Agnes arrives in Italy on February 21, 2022, and is welcomed with great enthusiasm by Misericordia di Stiava. The small size of the village allows Sister Agnes to successfully integrate into the community. Various organizations are taking action to offer her multifaceted training. She tries to improve her Italian thanks to lessons from volunteer staff, follows a course in baking, sewing, first aid and moves around the area visiting the places of greatest interest.

On August 22, 2022, Sister Agnes returned to Rwanda, to the diocese of Butare. Butare is a town of almost 90,000 inhabitants. In the difficult economic-social conditions in which this territory finds itself, the Dimora della Carità Sisters operate who mainly deal with the education of children and young people, the reception and training of women through professional courses and medical assistance.
