An intercultural mediator, he works for the Gagliano del Capo Territorial District (LE) on a mediation project involving the municipalities and schools of southern Salento. His training and professional activity began during the pandemic, when he supported foreign nationals isolated by the lockdown on behalf of the Diocesan Caritas of Ugento-Santa Maria di Leuca. “From those people, who had no family ties nearby and were very far from home, I learnt to recognise a sense of community that enabled them to overcome difficult times.” Since then, he has been responsible for “Nessuno è straniero”, the diocesan support centre for foreign nationals.
