Sister Joan Chemeli Langat belongs to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Mombasa Kenya, a diocesan Congregation under the Archdiocese of Mombasa. She professed her perpetual vows on August 15, 2018. Their charism is to witness in simplicity to the saving and evangelizing mission of Jesus Christ among the people with whom they live and interact, in response to the signs of the times. Sister Joan is an Ambassador of the Works of Mercy in Kenya for spazio + spadoni. She is currently in the community of Kwale, where she carries forward the social enterprise developed through the HIC SUM project.
