The Institute of the Little Sisters of the Presentation of Our Lady in the Temple is an active religious institute of diocesan right, but open to the universal Church and ready to respond to all its needs.

Founded by Bishop Henri Joseph Pierard (the first Bishop of the Diocese) in the context of the first evangelization. We, the members of this Institute, are called to encounter indigenous peoples in order to proclaim the Gospel message.
In particular, we wish to give the Christianity of Butembo-Beni the true face of the African woman, capable of entering into the mentality of her people and promoting Marian devotion. We pray to draw heavenly graces upon the Diocese and take the three vows for the sanctification of its members.
Inspired by the evangelical, missionary and Marian spirit, we are ready to carry out apostolic activity following the example of the Virgin Maria, Little, Simple and Humble, always ready to respond to the needs of the Church and to devote ourselves zealously to the service of the Altar and the salvation of souls.
