What is INONDIAMO?
INONDIAMO is the worldwide campaign promoted by spazio + spadoni to spread the Works of Mercy through communities, associations, religious congregations, parishes, Misericordie, and Fratres groups. It is an invitation to make mercy visible through a simple gesture: display the campaign banner and share a photograph that tells the story of the commitment made by your community.
The meaning of the INONDIAMO banner

This banner grew out of the vision of spazio + spadoni and accompanies the worldwide campaign INONDIAMO, promoted as part of OPERA M – The riEvoluzione of the Works of Mercy.
Every graphic choice was designed to communicate a simple yet profound idea: mercy is not a list to remember, but a reality that must dwell within our lives.
For this reason, the fourteen Works of Mercy are not arranged like an orderly catalogue. They are deliberately scattered across the entire surface of the banner until they become its very fabric. In this way, the image conveys that mercy is called to reach every person, every setting, and every periphery of human existence.
From a distance, the eye catches the essential message: “The Works of Mercy” and “INONDIAMO”. Up close, however, all the spiritual and corporal works gradually emerge, inviting each person to stop, read, reflect, and become involved.
This choice expresses one of the founding principles of OPERA M. In daily life, the Works of Mercy are not lived one at a time in a predetermined order. They are constantly intertwined: listening leads to comforting, welcoming opens the way to forgiveness, teaching creates hope, and visiting brings sharing. Mercy is a network of relationships that grows through encounter and spreads like a flood.
At the center of the banner, the hand supporting the sphere recalls the responsibility entrusted to every man and woman. Mercy does not remain an abstract ideal: through our hands, it becomes an action, a choice, service, and witness. This is the mission that spazio + spadoni offers to the “inhabitants” of OPERA M: to transform the Works of Mercy from a heritage of memory into a daily way of life.
The banner was designed to be read in two stages. From a distance, it speaks with the power of a symbol; up close, it gradually reveals the richness of the Works of Mercy that compose it and is built from them.
For this reason, wherever it is viewed from, the works continue to emerge, reminding us that mercy is called to flood the world—one person, one encounter, and one community at a time.
The banner is the starting point of the INONDIAMO campaign: a sign inviting every community, Diocese, Misericordia, parish, religious congregation, and individual to play a leading role in the riEvoluzione of the Works of Mercy promoted by OPERA M.
A commitment to share
Dear President, at the center of the banner you will find an imperative that lies at the heart of our commitment to you:
INONDIAMO
Let us flood the world with the Works of Mercy, bearing witness to Christ and restoring full dignity to every person who receives mercy.
We entrust you with leading this journey so that this vision may become part of everyday life in your community.
Set the direction
Display this banner at your headquarters as the “mandate” that guides the actions of every
donor. It will remind us that we are a flock in flight that cannot remain still in the face of need.
Teach service
Turn that place into a Works of Mercy Space: a workshop of wisdom where people learn the art of serving and plan how to restore dignity to those who suffer.
Consecrate the commitment
Share this vision with your Spiritual Assistant. Together, consider whether the “mandate” should also have a place in the church, uniting the
parish community in the effort to flood the local area with the Works of Mercy.
Support the action
Keep this flow moving by contacting spazio + spadoni. Don’t worry—we are not asking you for money! On the contrary, we have prepared resources and tools specifically designed to support your work and flood every area
of your association and community life with Mercy.
All we ask is one gesture that can multiply the living witness of this gift:
Take a photo
Tell the story of your community through a photograph. Take a photo of the banner with your community and share a tangible sign of your participation in INONDIAMO.
