Bread of Mercy
OPERA M is the revolution of the Works of Mercy. It is the permanent instrument for developing a strong and renewed way of thinking about the works throughout the world.
It arises from an urgency strongly felt by spazio + spadoni to reEvolve the concept of a work of mercy as a path that is always both human and divine at the same time, and therefore always spiritual as well as practical (or corporal). The rediscovery, indeed the true reEvolution of the works must be found within this synthesis between the spiritual aspect and the practical act. Material action must always be permeated by the spirit.
OPERA M is based on five actions that define its method: INVOKE, call upon the Spirit LISTEN, be silent in order to open yourself to listening MEET, stay among people LET US ACT, act for the works LET US FLOOD, bring everyone to the Works of Mercy Spiritual Works of Mercy Counsel the doubtful Teach the ignorant Admonish sinners Comfort the afflicted Forgive offenses Bear patiently those who trouble us Pray to God for the living and the dead Corporal Works of Mercy Feed the hungry Give drink to the thirsty Clothe the naked Shelter pilgrims Visit the sick Visit prisoners Bury the dead

Luigi Spadoni meets the Mother General at the General House in Pisa for a discussion on the projects being carried out in East Timor, including the commitment to spreading the Works of Mercy

Sister Ansila, back in Italy for a period, gives a missionary testimony to the community of Borgo a Mozzano (LU), highlighting the commitment of the community and the volunteers to spreading the Works of Mercy

Sister Ansila and the volunteers live the apostolate with the people affected by the flood and donate a kitchen to them
September 23 | Preparatory meeting for Casa OPERA M
A meeting was held with the authorities to plan the construction of Casa OPERA M and the chapel

On the memorial of Saint Francis, the Congregation feast day, the first stone is blessed and laid, marking the start of construction of Casa OPERA M. On the same day, the scarves are also blessed and given to the new volunteers

Sister Ansila shows us the work moving forward to expand the OPERA M kitchen, the Listening Center created in memory of Ansaldo of Borgo a Mozzano (LU), and the mini bar. The structure is taking shape thanks to the support of spazio + spadoni, the Ansaldo sisters, and the Parish Community of Borgo a Mozzano.
